HILO is an activation word with roots in many cultures. Within Hawaiian, ‘ōlelo HILO represents the first visible new moon, a sign of awakening. It is the light that briefly appears upon the ocean at dawn. Hilo also means to braid in a double helix to make strong. The Hawaiian language is poetry, and one word has many deep translations.

The name of this app came through a conversation about this platform with my Kumu Ke’oni Hanalei. “Hilo is coming through the collective”, he said. What does that mean for each of us?

I believe that a grand awakening comes through our own internal revolution. A personal revolution is required for lasting change in a collective consciousness. As we harmonize our internal landscapes, we extend those reverberations of harmony into our families, communities, and, ultimately, our world.

During this launch event, we will share the intention to activate the awakening of healing in our internal landscapes together. Surrounded by the elemental bliss of the Santa Barbara hills, we will cultivate a vortex of deep healing in the magical residential dome on the property.
